Reconstitution

Add 2 ml bacteriostatic (BAC) water to the vial

Gently tip vial upside down and back to mix (do not shake)

Preparation

Reconstitute vial with 2 ml bacteriostatic (BAC) water

Gently swirl (don’t shake) until dissolved

Store in the fridge (2–8°C)
Injection
-
Use a 1ml insulin syringe (29–31G)
-
Clean vial top and injection site with alcohol
-
Draw up your dose (e.g. 0.10 – 0.30ml)
-
Inject subcutaneously into the lower abdomen at a 45–90° angle
-
Dispose of syringe safely
Aftercare
-
Apply gently pressure, don’t rub the site
-
Rotate injection area weekly
-
Mild redness or tenderness is normal
-
Stay hydrated and store vials correctly
